I’m Gigi, and what, you ask, is a kludgy mom?
A kludgy mom (clue-gee mom) is a mom who uses clumsy or inelegant, yet effective, solutions to problems, typically using items that are cobbled together. In other words, a mom who makes things up as they go.
A kludgy mom practices the art of embracing a life lived haphazardly. I’m a kludgy mom.
You can read all about the origins of kludge. It’s a real word, for all you non-techies out there.
I struggle to be the best wife, parent, and blogger I can be. My life never seems to go according to plan. I patch it all together, kludgy style, and somehow, it all works.
These are my stories…a snappish take on life, with a little sap and a whole lot of technology content (because I love yammering about blogging and iPhones and stuff) thrown in for good measure. Maybe you’re a kludgy mom, too.

I think it’s funny how so many of us who end up blogging “struggle with the world of moms.” Is it just us? Or are we the only ones bold (dumb) enough to admit it? Anyway, glad to know ya.
