I’m back with my weekend rewind. It’s been another busy week. I had hoped to spend the weekend catching up, but I have inbound inlaws that I forgot about [bonus: they always buy us a very nice meal].
So here’s what I’ve been up to this week. Have a look – if something sounds interesting, I’d love you to check it out! I talked blogging, mom bloggy news, a lot of sleep-deprived humor posts and some more mom and kid products. Oh! And how to expose your child to music!
The Shizzle on Blogging
If you want a rundown of some of the big news in bloggyland this week, plus some great tips on blogging and social media, check out the Business 2 Blogger Blogosphere Roundup. I read it all and pick the best, so you don’t have to.
Tango and blogging – does not compute? Well, it does, actually. I talked this week about how social media is like the tango. Read why.
Have you wanted to send an email newsletter to your readership? Read my Quick Tip from Monday on how to do it using Google Friend Connect.
Stuff for Moms
Over at Mom It Forward, I shared some tips on how to expose children to music.
Some products I reviewed this week were a cool wrapper to keep wriggly kids under control, a kid-safe video watching alternative to YouTube, some handpainted apparel, an eco-friendly weekly planner, and a sippy cup that’s safe and grows with your baby.
I also took a look at some stuff JUST for moms!
I featured gorgeous camera bags, a great selection of rain boots, REALLY wacky fashion sunglasses, a high-tech gardening option and a selection of lovely beverage pitchers.
My Kludgy Box of Randomness
I had a total blast writing my personal posts this week. There’s something about sleep deprivation that sets off something wacky inside of me. Here’s a look back.
Why I Applied To Be A SITS Girl
Self-Awareness and SmartPhones
The Ones Where I Pretend To Be A News Reporter
It was a busy week over at ShePosts, too. The most important article I wrote this week was called Don’t Mess With Mom Bloggers…Or Else! It talks about a recent social media campaign gone horribly wrong, and how a group of mom bloggers is fighting back.
Recent layoffs over at Disney Online
BlogHer/Gourmet Live Road Trip
Let us not forget today’s Kludgy Facebook 500 blogger, either!
It’s Jennifer from Midwest Momments! (Jennifer is a great Tweep, as well). Midwest “Mom”ments is a diary chronicling the joyful, overwhelming, crazy, sometimes frustrating, journey that is parenthood. It has also come to include more of me through creative writing, graphic design, op-ed and product reviews.
Go see her on Facebook please! I am hoping this feature is actually of benefit to the bloggers participating

It’s been a busy, busy week in Gigiland. And I am not sure there is anything more I can say that hasn’t already been said, but thought it’d be rude to not say anything. So, congrats on being the SITS girl. You’ve earned it. Now go relax for 5 and have yourself a big piece of cheesecake.
I love that you do this rewind Gigi! Gives me a total sense of failure since I will never be able to read all of these, ha!

You make me feel completely inadequate!

I on the other hand have accomplished absolutely nada!
So in keeping with my new trend, I’ll just go and read some more
I hope you’re napping right now.
You need a nap.
I’m tired just reading the highlights of what you did.
We had in-laws visiting this weekend, too. But I expected them. And I still feel a coma coming on.
Is it only Monday?
I especially like (and agree with) the article about Social Media being like the Tango. There’s definitely a give and take to it that needs to be realized very early on. Thanks for the rewind! I’m off to check out more of your links.

Thanks for the shout-out, Gigi!!
You’ve truly done more with your week than I’ve done with my life.
Yay, Jennifer!
