I hope our children see the world – literally and figuratively.
My parents could not afford to travel when I was a child. It made for me getting instilled with a pretty narrow world view until I was able to go away to college, and then spend most of my adult life moving around a lot. Once I began to move around, my life and ideas expanded. I became more tolerant and accepting.
It’s important to me that Little CEO and Boy Wonder have that opportunity earlier on in life.
Fortunately, Little CEO already has a world view. It’s her world and we are all here because she chooses to allow us in. I kid, but just a little. She is a free spirit and a funky sense of style…yet she still loves being a girl and wearing twirly dresses.
Awhile back, Tea Collection contacted me and asked me to review some of their clothing line for children. I’ll admit, I had not heard of them before.
I checked out Tea’s website and read their backstory.
Travel opens anyone’s heart and mind to people and places that we don’t know. The clothing we create at Tea transforms the foreign world into a smaller, friendlier and more familiar place. We believe that we bring a little bit of that world home to you. – Emily Meyer, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer
That one statement resonated with me. It’s exactly what I believe.
Tea Collection goes out and visits locations around the world. They look at the culture. The food. The people. The colors and patterns that make that culture and locale unique. And they design beautiful clothes inspired by where they’ve visited.
The folks at Tea Collection sent my daughter three lovely dresses from their current Go Mexico Collection to try out. She had so much fun opening the package, which included a darling activity book all about Mexican culture.
The clothes are just adorable, and soft, and well fitting. I love that the dresses can be worn alone or with leggings, as a tunic, too. Little CEO got a little taste of Mexico without having to leave our house. Someday, we’ll go visit. But for now, we can capture a little of that spirit by putting her in this gorgeous clothing.
I told Little CEO we could make a music video with her as the star, modeling all of the dresses. So here’s Little CEO, in Go Mexico.
Disclosure: I received dresses from Tea Collection to write this review. All opinions expressed along with the horrible video editing are entirely my own!

Oh, so adorable! The dresses AND the happy girl
Every runway should have a swingset.
Beautiful clothes! I had not heard of them either, but I will definitely be checking them out. I’m always looking for something unique for my daughter, instead of the same ‘ol, same ‘ol that you find at the mall!

The dresses are really cute and make me wish I had a daughter, too! I wonder if I could ever get Boy Wonder to be involved in my vlogs. He’s 12 and in 7th grade, so I’m thinking no.
But yay for Little CEO. She worked those dresses!

I love tea clothing, and it’s getting harder to find here in the Triangle area of NC. Some boutiques that carried it, closed.
Your daughter is adorable.

Tea has been one of my favorite brands for my daughters for years. Classic yet fun. I love their fabrics, styles and company philosophy so much. Tea makes me happy..and the comfort factor is truly amazing. When my babies were babies there was nothing better than a tea romper on them. Sigh.
So fun for you to get this opportunity!! xo

I really, really lucked out growing up . . . my grandfather had traveled the world for work during his working career, but never saw anywhere that he went. So he took his grand-kids. I went to Denmark & Norway. I went to Mexico. I went to Canada. I went to Switzerland & Germany.
I was all set to go on a full European tour with him the summer after my sophomore year . . . he was in failing health and my cousin & I would simply make sure he was ok. He passed away before we went.
I still went on the trip. It was paid for & he would have wanted us to. Now that I’m dealing with bills and kids and work & everything . . . well, I never really knew just how fortunate I was.
