READ THIS FIRST!
Hello, people!
I don’t know about you, but I thought Week 2 ROCKED!!!
This week we get a bit more into nitty-gritty details as we talk about networking and how to extend your blog’s reach. We will NOT be talking about how to interact with your current followers or readers until next week. There’s a lot of overlap between the two topics, but I felt it important to treat them separately. Why? Because there’s too much damn information for this week on its own.
In writing this week’s content, I realized that when it comes to networking, there are things established bloggers don’t need to read, and things that may be too advanced for bloggers just starting out. So here’s what you’ll see:
1. Required Reading Posts. Read the one post that applies to you. Each has a writing task.
* networking for new bloggers (blogs with 0-100 followers)
* networking for growing bloggers (blogs with 100-300 followers)
* networking for established bloggers (blogs with 300++ followers)
I had to delineate blogging groups somehow.
2. Guest Post – our guest post this week is written by Alexandra of Good Day, Regular People. It is a guest post about guest posts! There are some WONDERFUL tips and resources for bloggers at all levels in this article. It’s a must read.
3. Extra Credit – as with Weeks 1 and 2, the extra credit will include a bunch of links and resources for you to help you add social media icons to your blog, make the most of Twitter and Facebook, write a personal biography, and more! I’ll be posting this on Monday because the reading this week is pretty hefty. Remember, extra credit is totally optional reading.
4. Super Bonus Mega Extra Credit – yes, I went a little nuts this week. There will be more extra credit (OPTIONAL) reading that I post throughout the week. There will be a tutorial on how to auto-feed your blog posts to social media, and a post about finding a blog mentor. Hope you have time to check them out!
That’s it! I can’t wait to get started!
