Welcome to Friday Flip-Offs!
And welcome Lady Bloggers Society gals…I had no idea I’d be FB blogger today! Otherwise, I would have cleaned up this house with all the visitors arriving.
Who am I kidding? No I wouldn’t have. I mean, I love you ladies, but not that much.
By the way, I’m not *always* as virtually foulmouthed as I am on Fridays. I am, however, usually snarky. Check out my Greatest Hits for more of a sampling of the fare you’ll find here (you get food, too, by the way).
Friday Flip-Offs is my way of ridding myself of weekday angst and frustration before heading into the weekend. I virtually flip off whoever is on my last nerve. It’s very cathartic. The theory is that I don’t take anything out on my husband and kids, although the jury’s out on that.

To people who constantly complain about being broke, but somehow manage to travel internationally, engage in frequent self-pampering, or hire babysitters once a week: FLIP OFF. What am I doing wrong? What secret did I miss out on?
To my budget : FLIP OFF. You’re not big enough. That’s why I don’t get to travel {let alone internationally}, engage in self-pampering, or hire babysitters.
To Chuck E Cheese: FLIP OFF. I hate that your marketing geniuses have sucked my children into believing that your restaurant is the coolest place to have a birthday party. As a positive, at least you serve beer.
To my adult acne: FLIP OFF. AGAIN. You’re getting worse AGAIN!
To fast food: FLIP OFF. Must you be the easiest, and sometimes seemingly the only, option when I’m out and about with the kids during summer? I feel like a walking grease pit.

I can’t even get into the budget. Ours is so not working. I have a million other things I must flip off- like that bill from the doctor for $223 that the insurance won’t pay for(which is the first of three appts) and the $91 for little man’s soccer uniform today and the $425 for soccer club dues. And the $177 for pool passes so my children can overcome their fears. We must go 5-6 more times to get our money’s worth and I may actually ruin my skin my then with my haphazard sunscreening techniques these days. Children are ridiculously expensive. I’m with you on Chuck E Cheese. Luckily my daughter has an outrageous phobia of Chuck E so our visits are not all that often. I can actually see the germs. And I have several zits that will not go away as hard as I try. I’m flipping that one too. Oh, btw have you tried proactive yet? I know you’ve tried other RX things, but that actually seems to be helping me a bit. Ok, done venting. I guess my blog isn’t sufficient. Sorry.

I think the secret you missed when it comes to the whole budget thing is people that spend money they don’t have and then skip paying important bills and stuff.
And acne? Oh good lord-I NEVER broke out until after bratchild’s arrival and yesterday the hubs pointed out a ginormouse zit on my back-I call him George. He sang me to sleep.

I’ll flip budget’s with you! Ours never stretches far enough and just when I think I’ve got it sorted something else pops up. Oh and I missed the secret too, I know people who are exactly the same, always broke but constantly shopping and going out – Grrr!

Ugh. Going over the budget RIGHT NOW with the hubs. And no, it will not nearly be big enough. I never understood Manhattanites. They all complained about finances, yet ate out all the time, lived where they did, and traveled internationally twice a year.
Are you using anything for your break outs? What happened to the expensive cream? My skin is freaking out over the move. Pimples under my nose and cheek, you follow me like friends, but you definitely are not.

I used to battle adult acne and tried different things from the dermatologist but finally made the discovery that certain hair products I used were causing it to be worse. Infusium 23 leave in treatment is great for the hair but I swear every single time I used it, I would get zits on my face. Good Luck on finding the culprit. I know how annoying it can be!
