I was sitting at home the other day when a man dressed in a black suit, black tie and sunglasses appeared at my door.
He was carrying a briefcase. He said,
“Is your name Gigi Ross?”
I replied yes.
He opened the briefcase, withdrew a small USB flash drive, and handed it to me.
“What’s this?” I said.
“You’ve been recruited for a special assignment. All of the details will be on this drive. Good luck.”
He adjusted his sunglasses, turned on his heel, and drove off in a dark blue unmarked car,
I wondered if one of my freelance clients had a special project for me. No, they would’ve at least emailed first, I thought to myself.
I went back in the house, shut the door, went into my office and inserted the flash drive into my computer.
It was a dossier.
I’m sharing it with you now.
I’m a little nervous for this assignment. I’ve never done anything like this before. Am I ready? Is my family ready?
Will a cruise cabin comfortably fit my humongously tall husband?
Will I like the food or will I be too worried about getting norovirus?
Will my kids make friends in Camp Carnival?
Will we all still love each other by the end of the trip?
These are all questions that remain to be answered. And I’m going in to dig deep and give you the insider’s look at the Carnival Breeze. In the meantime, you can follow my Mission: Cruise Possible Pinterest Board for cruise-related pins.
Come back in August to find out what happens.
Disclosure: My family will be guests of Carnival Cruise Lines. No other compensation was received for this, or subsequent posts. All opinions are my own. Oh. And we’re not really special agents.
