The Best Books for Boys | Summer Reading List

by Gigi Ross on June 6, 2013

I had such a response to my Great Books for Girls post that I thought it was only fair that I do a Best Books for Boys post, too!

This is a really big list of great books for boys. Whether you have a reluctant reader or an avid reader between the ages of 6 and 12, t his list will be sure to have something interesting. Most of these are chapter book series; however, there are a few that are stand-alone books that my son particularly loved.

Make sure to add all of these boy books to your son’s summer reading list! And if you find this useful, I would definitely love a pin!

When I saw your list for girls a few weeks ago, I was hoping you’d share one for boys as well. Thanks!

LOVE this! My son needs some new reading material. Second grade was useless and we are going to work on reading this summer.

Great stuff. I loved to read as a boy. I have three daughters, so the read list doesn’t match up the same, except for Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Those rock.

Ever read the Geronimo Stilton series?

When I was a boy, if it was about dinosaurs, the NFL or Star Wars, I was in it.
