Are You A Blog Insider or Outsider?

I have some exciting news to share and hope that those of y’all who are bloggers will be excited about this too.

You all probably know a wine snob. I love wine, but when I first started really getting into it and wanting to learn about it, I felt like the whole “wine thing ” was intimidating and inaccessible. Conspiracy theories set in: there was a secret society of people that “got wine” and I was on the outside looking in.

Sometimes, I feel that way about blogging. It can be intimidating, inaccessible, overwhelming. Sometimes I feel like an outsider looking in, a latecomer to the party, trying to figure out what everyone else is doing that I’m not.  There are AMAZING blogger community sites out there – my faves are SITS and LBS – they seriously rock! But I still feel like I’m not getting the whole picture that I want or need.

And this is how a new venture is born. I couldn’t open a winery, so instead, I am collaborating with Mis from Miel et Lait to create a new blog community site that hopefully, makes everyone feel like a blog insider. Especially me .   So we’re proud to introduce The Blogger’s Concierge, or TBC.

Just like a concierge at a hotel, TBC aims to take our readers behind the “velvet ropes” of blogging.

Our goal with TBC is to infuse the women’s blogging community with new tools and resources to help female bloggers improve their blogs while – and this is important - having a blast doing it.  We want even the smallest of blogs to feel like there is information accessible to them; that they, too, have a way to get exposure and visibility to the larger blog community; that they are insiders. We want to feature the best blogs, provide the best tips, and connect with the best gals out there, no matter what their blogging niche!

We’re starting out small, but glam! Today we’re kicking off our inaugural event: The A List Affair.

The A List is going to be our blog index – soon to be categorized by niche so it’s easy to find the cool blogs you want to connect with. The A List Affair will be a blog hop where you get free reign to brag about your blog: tell us why you’re an A-lister! After a week of gathering up positive praise on all of your great blogs, we’ll pick some blogs to showcase…and we’ll keep doing that as weeks go by.

After that…we have a list of fun events that is so long we’re having a hard time getting them all on our calendar! They’re top secret for now as we finish baking the ideas, but they’re guaranteed to be a good time.
